By operating with very little overhead and relying on word-of-mouth as opposed to a large marketing budget, the goal of End-2-End Healthcare is to provide superior quality and flexibility to minimize your costs at reasonable rates.
Interim Leadership Pricing
Consider a permanent hospital CFO making $225,000 a year, with a bonus opportunity, taking around 6 weeks of vacation (30 days) and 6 standard holidays, with full benefits. In addition, they have a high degree of income stability and security, assuming they delivery quality work, and they are able to be in their own home with their families every night.
$225,000 * 1.40 (bonus earnings & benefits) / 224 days (260 full-time days less vacation and holidays) @ 8 hours/day =
$176/worked hour
Duration, scope of responsibility, and size and complexity of operations all play a factor in determining rates.
For example: The lowest rate available for a long-term interim assignment with a critical access hospital with minimal complexities would be $125/hour.
Rates typically fall between $150-$250/hour and are billed as a daily or 1/2 day rate based on an 8 hour day (no excess charges for days over 8 hours, as they frequently are).
Many interim staffing organization will charge clients double or triple the rate paid to a highly skilled professional delivering the value to you as a client. You can access those same professionals directly through End-2-End Healthcare without paying the mark-up.
Project Pricing
Project pricing is based upon the type of project, scope, complexity, resource allocation, estimated hours to complete, travel expectations, etc.
End-2-End Healthcare will be fair, reasonable, and transparent in pricing projects.
For example: If you go into a project and opt only for assessment work, which would come at a higher rate given the limited duration, and then decide to continue on with implementation services within 14 days of the assessment presentation, you would receive a discount on the implementation services to offset the higher rate originally charged on the assessment.
Having seen clients charged 3-4x the cost of service delivery by large firms for consulting and interim resources, the goal is to offer you those same high quality resources at a fair price reflective of an understanding of the financial situation healthcare providers find themselves in today.
Project Duration
The longer and more firm the commitment from you, the lower the cost and often the more timely and lasting the results.
Engagements have ranged anywhere from a few months up to nearly three years (though two years is a preferred maximum duration). This will ultimately be determined by what will best meet your needs and achieve the objectives of your organization.
Travel Related Expenses
Offsite support may be more cost effective but may not provide the level of immersion and support appropriate for your needs.
Despite the changes COVID-19 has brought to the business world, End-2-End Healthcare is willing to provide on-site support if that is what is determined to best meet your organizational needs.
Lodging
Many consultants prioritize their personal hotel brand loyalty points over client affordability.
Depending on the duration of the engagement, alternative and more affordable housing options are encouraged assuming they provide a reasonable degree of safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
Examples include AirBnBs, corporate apartment accommodations, on-site locums accommodations, or other creative options.
Standard hotel accommodations would be necessary for short-term (less than 3-4 months) or limited onsite projects.
Ground Transportation
Depending on the duration and level of commitment, use of consultants/interims personal vehicle may be a preferred, and more affordable, option. In such a case, mileage would paid for travel to and from the assignment at the beginning and end of the engagement or when used as an alternative to air travel home, not for day-to-day back and forth from accommodations to work-site. If business related travel was required beyond 20 miles roundtrip, reimbursement would be expected in that case.
Reimbursement for airport parking when more affordable and/or necessary due to meeting schedules/flight times would be expected or reimbursement for ride-share or taxi service based on availability.
Rental car option would be necessary for short-term or limited onsite projects.
Air Travel
For long-term onsite assignments, the contractual obligation would be for bi-weekly travel out of the area though often travel would only be requested every 3rd week with the option to substitute consultants/interims travel out for reimbursement of a family member traveling to your location.
On travel weeks, every attempt is made to work a full day Thursday and take an evening flight to allow working from home on Friday with the goal of returning to your site Sunday evening in order to start fresh on Monday morning.
Based on quality and reliability, Delta Airlines is the preferred airline unless extreme schedule demands or significant price variations are present.
For example: When evaluating recent planned travel in which Delta was charging $800+ and Southwest was under $400, out of a sense of financial stewardship and responsibility to the client, the Southwest flight was chosen.
Flight options for short-term or limited onsite projects would be made to provide the greatest amount of productive time onsite.
Meals
$45 a day stipend for all travel and onsite days lodged where a full kitchen (including oven) is present.
